Someshwar Sawan Festival – A Timeless Celebration of Osla Village

Every year from 3rd to 6th August, the beautiful Someshwar Sawan Festival brings Osla Village to life with devotion, culture, and centuries-old traditions. Dedicated to Someshwar Devta (Lord Shiva), the festival begins with a sacred procession as the beautifully decorated silver and brass palanquin (Doli) travels through 22 Himalayan villages before reaching Osla. Visitors can witness vibrant Garhwali folk dances, traditional Dhol-Damau music, authentic mountain cuisine, and the colorful traditional attire of the local community. The festival offers a rare opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of the Har Ki Dun Valley. Stay at HomeStay Osla during the festival and immerse yourself in the true spirit of the Himalayas while enjoying warm local hospitality and unforgettable cultural experiences.
